Gracilaria sea moss is a dark red, stringy, stick-like seaweed from the red algae family. The nutritional value is very similar to purple sea moss (Euchema) from St. Lucia and Irish moss (Chondrus).
It's a great alternative to Irish moss and Bladderwrack Powders at a lower cost. Gracilaria is mainly harvested for the production of agar and eaten in many Asian dishes. The powder has a grayish color and is not very salty.
